Karriere
am Klinikum & Medizinischer Fakultät
Research associate (postdoc) for translational research (f/m/d)

The Department of Pediatrics I (Director: Prof. Dr. med. Johannes Schulte) aims to sustainably improve the prognosis of serious malignant diseases in children and adolescents. In the areas of hematology and oncology in particular, the aim is to implement innovative therapies such as patient-specific anti-tumor peptide bacteria into standard therapy. The currently ongoing PERVISION study, carried out on patients with metastatic, fusion-driven sarcomas (DKTK-funded, clinical director Prof. Dr. Martin Ebinger, co-director of the GPOH soft tissue sarcoma study group), is investigating whether the chances of a permanent cure in these patients can be improved after therapy and achieving remission with peptide vaccination with fusion peptide.
The working group of Prof. Dr. Karin Schilbach is working on molecularly characterizing T cell responses against sarcoma-specific epitopes, especially against the fusion peptide, in order to potentially enable the production of sarcoma-specific T cells via T cell receptor heterodimer identification. This work is to be continued.

- Establishment of a library of epitope-specific TCRs with defined HLA restriction for uniform tumor epitopes
- Functional validation of identified TCRs in in vitro models and translation into clinical applications
- Perdorming multi-omic analyses (transcription, phenotype) at bulk and single cell level
Your profile:
