  • Provide scientific support and guidance for NGS-related research projects
  • Advise users on project planning, sample preparation and sequencing strategies
  • Manage NGS projects for Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms
  • Ensure quality control, troubleshooting and protocol optimization
  • Collaborate closely with the bioinformatics team for data analysis and the lab team for routine projects and establishments
  • Support administrative tasks such as project tracking, offer generation and reporting

  • Motivated team player holding a MSc degree or PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Genetics or other biological fields
  • Good understanding of NGS workflows, including library preparation, sequencing, and quality control
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate with customers and meet deadlines
  • Practical experience with NGS applications, particularly Illumina and Nanopore is an advantage
  • Practical experience in microbiology and molecular biology, DNA and RNA isolation
  • Interest in establishment and further development of molecular biological methods
  • Strong communication skills with a good command of both English and German (spoken and written)
  • Experience in a core facility or service-oriented research environment is a plus
